Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up, and the last bits of snow are melting away. Spring is here! Spring is a nice welcome after long, cold, dark winters and it re-energizes us to get things done. Here are three things you can do to make the most out of the spring season.

Spring Cleaning

Open the windows to let some fresh air in your home and clean off the dust and dirt that has accumulated during winter. Spring cleaning is an obvious seasonal activity, but it’s an important one. Clean your windows, make repairs inside and outside the house, mop and sweep floors, give your kitchen a thorough scrub down, and maybe rearrange the furniture. Doing a thorough home cleaning is also beneficial to your health, as bacteria, mold and dust mites can get into our bodies and affect our allergies. Get Outside

Spring weather is unpredictable, with sunny and blue skies one day and rain and wind the next. But after being cooped up inside all winter, it’s nice to be out and about. Luckily, there are plenty of outdoor activities to consider during springtime. See some gorgeous blooming flowers, like the ones at the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., do some walking or jogging on a local trail, or enjoy some time at the ballpark for a baseball game. Do Some Grilling

Why wait until the summer to start cooking outdoors? Spring brings some warmer weather, which means it’s time to bust out the grill and try some tasty new recipes! A spring picnic in a park or a relaxing, food-filled evening on your porch or patio are ways to enjoy cooking and eating outside. If you’re in the mood for something spicy, our Andouille Sausage grillers bring the heat to any Cajun-inspired meal. Or, you can always go the classic route with some delicious Pork Sausages that can be used in a wide variety of dinners.

Welcoming spring after a long, cold winter can be such a relief. With spring offering so many fun indoor and outdoor activities, as well as the perfect opportunity to clean our homes, it has become one of our favorite seasons.
