Clearly we’re in the market of making things that include our delicious and easy-to-use sausages, so we thought we’d share a fun recipe! Entertain and serve at a Halloween party, or simply provide a quick bite to the kids before trick-or-treating!

Mummy Sausage Rolls

Risen from deliciousness, these “woken” Breakfast sausage rolls are a savory, spooky delight! We suggest using our Maple Breakfast Links, but our classic Breakfast Links will taste great, as well. Best Halloween appetizers ever!

Taking only 15 minutes to prep and 20 to cook, it feeds up to 10 people and leaves plenty of time to perfect your Halloween costume, too.

Ingredients

4 oz. puff pastry
1 package of Maple Breakfast Links or Breakfast Links
1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. Water
1 tbsp. Ketchup or mustard

Directions

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry to 1/16th inch thick, into a rectangle about that is about 11-inches long and 5-6 inches wide. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut thin, 1/4-inch wide strips down the longer side of the pastry. You should end up with at least 20 strips.
Using 2 strips per sausage, dip the ends of the pastry into the egg wash and wrap them around each sausage, leaving a space near the top of each one for the eyes.
Place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes while you preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Gently brush with egg wash directly before placing in the oven. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Put the ketchup or mustard into a bowl. Using a toothpick, draw eyes onto the mummy.
Serve your mummies up at once and enjoy!

Be sure to snap a picture of your creation and share it with us on Facebook or Instagram! We’d love to see how they turn out. 🎃
