UNCLE CHARLEY’S SAUSAGE LAUNCHES NEW LINE OF READY-TO-SERVE MEALS

New RTS products will significantly expand service to retail and food service customers.

Uncle Charley’s Sausage Company, a leading producer of premium pork sausage and specialty meat products, announced today that it is introducing a new line of ready-to-serve (RTS) meals, including Hot Italian Sausage with Peppers, Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa with Sauerkraut. The new products are available through retail, grocery, deli and food service outlets.

The introduction of the new RTS offerings are a significant milestone for the company, which has established a leadership position in the fresh sausage category during its 30-year history. Expanding into the RTS segment unlocks the opportunity to serve new markets and reach customers who are seeking better quality food combined with convenient packaging and preparation. The three RTS products are currently offered in retail and food service packages. Each of the three offerings is fully cooked and prepackaged for meals that go from the refrigerator to table in minutes. All retail packages contain four sausage links per package (food service packs contain 15 links per pack) and can be heated on the stove, in the oven or in the microwave. Hot Italian Sausage and Peppers meals include Oliverio peppers and tomato sauce. Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa with Sauerkraut both include sauerkraut in the package.
